In March 2003 I went on my first skiing holiday with my good friend Mark. I made the sensible decision to enrol in Ski School for the week, which was a lot of fun.
By the end of the second day I could barely walk! I honestly thought skiing was not going to be my forte, but thankfully it eventually clicked and by the end of the week I was having a fantastic time and totally hooked. We had Ski School in the mornings so I was able to meet with Mark at lunchtime and then the two of us go off together to explore the mountains. Cervinia was lovely, with some good night life, but it was very expensive. Cervinia is the highest skiing in Europe, at 10,000 ft up at the highest point. The view was spectacular to say the least. |
